Here
we go. Time taken to get it here: about
half an hour. one last thing and the skinning
is complete. the treads!
The
treads are a different texture file, they
have to be so they can "move"
when the tank moves in game. Get your tread
texture and apply it to the treads, just
like you applied the skin to the tank, but
this time click the vertex material tab.
drop the box under Stage 0 Mapping and select
Linear Offset, then type into the args box:
VPerSec=1
Apply
the tread texture. The best way of making
this texture fit is by applying UVW Mapping
modifier, select 'box' and fiddle with the
length, width and height untill it fits.
If you need to you can click the plus sign
next to UVW Mapping and rotate the gizmo,
that is if the texture is sideways!
